Caritas Chorale Fills the Valley with Song
(November 24, 2019) This winter will be alive with song from Caritas Chorale this holiday season. All sing-alongs and concerts are free and open to the public. The centerpiece of the Chorale’s holiday offerings is the ‘Holiday Sounds’ concert December 6 at 7 PM and December 7 at 3 PM at the Performing Arts Theater, Wood River High School. Director R.L. Rowsey said, “Caritas will sing an abundance of contemporary arrangements of holiday classics with a couple of brand-new songs added to the mix.”
Caritas Chorale will help both Hailey and Ketchum usher in the holiday season with participation in tree lighting festivities. They, along with WRHS’s Enchante, will sing at Ketchum Town Square at 4:30 PM on December 4th. Friday, December 6th will find the Chorale in Hailey at 5:30 PM at the Blaine County Courthouse prior to their evening concert.
The following weekend provides Caritas and the community an opportunity to give back. The Chorale’s Holiday Sing Along will be held at St Thomas Episcopal Church, Sun Valley Rd on Saturday December 14th and Sunday, December 15th, both at 3:00 p.m. These concerts benefit The Hunger Coalition. Donations are welcome. “The Holiday Sing Along gives Caritas an opportunity to share some of their favorite arrangements and the audience an opportunity to join in singing holiday favorites,” said Caritas President, Richard Stahl.
Caritas Chorale is celebrating its 20th anniversary season. Caritas was founded by Dick Brown in 1999. To learn more, go to www.caritaschorale.org.
