Reserve a seat for “Summer Sing, A Dynamic Choral Learning Experience” (and BBQ) with Dr. JIM JIRAK from Boise State University. Dr. Jirak is a noted teacher, Director of Boise Philharmonic Master Chorale, and Tenor Vocalist for The Kings of Swing (frequent performers at the Sun Valley Jazz Festival).
We will meet in the River Room, Presbyterian Church of the Big Wood, Ketchum. The two-hour event is scheduled for July 20th at 10 AM. The picnic/BBQ will follow at 12:30 PM at the pavilion at Atkinson Park in Ketchum (next to Hemingway STEAM School). Caritas Chorale will provide hot dogs, hamburgers and the fixings as well as table service. Bring a beverage of your choice and dish to share (salads and desserts).
Dr Jirak will lead us through some novel singing adventures that will help us reach the next level in choral singing techniques and enjoyment, like those he uses when preparing the Master Chorale to sing with the Boise Philharmonic and like those he learned from Robert Shaw at Carnegie Hall. This experience will make you a better singer, and knowing Dr Jirak, there will be smiles and laughs too!
We need a good showing of Caritas singers. I intend to open the event to others, but you have first choice. For further information, call Richard Stahl, 814-251-2852. Please RSVP to this email your attendance. Space is limited. While this event is free, we need you to reserve a seat. We need to hear from you ASAP.
